My name is Daniel Young and I am a St. Louis, Missouri based computer programmer and systems administrator. Working for a local direct marketing firm, I have skills in web development, search engine optimization, computer repair, and networking. I also take small to medium sized freelance website jobs.

I develop standards based websites using XHTML and CSS. I have knowledge of server scripting languages, primarily Perl and PHP. I also use client-sided JavaScript, when necessary, for forms validation and/or effects.

Qualifications:

• Associate in Applied Science (IS Programmer / Analyst), STLCC
• BS in Management Information Systems, in-progress at UMSL
• 4 years of professional computer programming and support experience
• 36 hours of intensive Perl programming training

Currently, I am developing skills in customizing Content Management Systems. Such systems include WordPress which is the system I use to develop this site. Content management systems allow non-programmers to update their own websites. Using these systems means that once I have created your site, you can save money by maintaining and editing it yourself!
